Meet Selma
1:53 PMI'm a Comfy Cutie Pie!! |
Whatever.
Hi! I'm Selma!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. But first, I think we should have another Cutie Puppy picture, don't you think?
Gotcha - one Cutie Puppy picture. |
- I'm House Trained! and Crate Trained, too.
- I'm about five years old.
- I'm a red-brindle girl.
- I'm the perfect mix of silly and snooze...
- You want to play or go for a walk or be silly? I'm in!
- But if you just want to hang out and chill, I'm up for that, too.
- I'm new here at Uncle Chris's house.
- I didn't like being at the shelter - everyone was really nice to me, but I just couldn't relax. You know what I mean?
- I am recovering from surgery. I had surgery to fix some tummy trouble, but I'm all good now!
- Once I gain a little needed weight, I'm going to be somewhere between 45-50 pounds.
- I like cookies. They are very yummy.
Am I doing this right? I've never done anything like this before, so I'm not sure... I guess I'll just keep going and hope this is good.
My story? Well, I wandered into someone's yard one day - just a pathetic stray dog. I was lucky that the people who found me kept me safe and called the Humane Educational Society for help. HES came and got me and brought me to the shelter where I'd be safe and could start looking for a Forever Family.
Being able to relax is so nice! |
But the shelter was hard for me. I think it always is for older dogs - like my roommate, Tucker. And I had some tummy issues - there was something wrong! I was bloated and uncomfortable and sick. So the great people at HES took me to the vet, and I took a little nap while they worked inside my tummy and got everything fixed. And now? I'm great!
I'm feeling so much better now! And I got to come stay at UC & Auntie Kate's house so I can relax during my recovery and UC said he'd help me find my Forever Family. That's why I'm bark-tating all this stuff to him.
See, Uncle Chris takes bark-tation, 'cause I can't type. Or read. I'm a dog, remember? Silly...
You can see how skinny I am from being sick. I'm thankful to HES for helping me get better! |
Evidently once I'm feeling up to snuff, I'm going to be learnin' stuff from Uncle Chris. I already know how to sit, but he said I have to learn other stuff, too.
Hey - remember I said I was silly?? Check it ---
So that's me! Do you have any questions? Oh, wait - I'm sure you're wondering how I am with Kids and/or Katts. That's always the second question after the house training one (which I am, remember?). I'm so new at UC's house that he isn't sure yet how I am with either, though I'm pretty laid back and easy going about stuff - so I bet I'll be fine with kids. Katts we'll have to talk about. :0)
If you are looking for a sweet, fun, smart girl to add to your family? I'd definitely like to meet you! You can message UC on the foster Facebook Page, contact the nice people at www.heschatt.com, or just comment below with your name and how to reach you.
I'm going to put some more pictures of me below for you to see, and then I'll see you later! It was great to meet you - I'm sure we'll talk again soon.
Love and Wiggles,
Selma
Here's me and UC leaving the shelter...
I'm still getting my strength back, so UC was kind enough to carry me into the truck.
A safe spot. |
Remember I said I was crate trained and was good in my crate?
I'm super good in my crate, especially with my comfy 4 pillow bed, and teddy bear blankie to snuggle! |
Nom, Nom, Nom... |
Great shot, UC - me getting up is sure a nice picture...
Real winner.
|
ZZZzzzZZZ... |
Itchy paw-paw... |
Ummm... Can we send this guy to photography class? That's a terrible pic, UC! |
